Are past criminal charges affecting your life?

Have you ever been denied a job because of past criminal charges? If so, then you should know that Mississippi recently made some major changes in its expungement laws. An expungement is a legal process in which the court removes your criminal conviction from all public records.

One major change to the Mississippi expungement laws is that, any felony conviction not defines as a crime of violence may petition the court in which the conviction was had for an order to expunge one (1) conviction from all public records five (5) years after the successful completed of all terms and conditions of the suntans for the conviction. Prior to this change in the law only certain felony convictions could be expunged.
